This is an old insult of Soviet prisons (it originated in the gulags). In soviet and modern russian prisons, passive homosexuals were called by "cool" convicts as "rooster". Rooster is a cocky, impudent bird, that's why they were called that.
Now not much is known about the criminal etymology of the word, but but if you ever find yourself in a Russian prison, use this word only in relation to the lowest stratum of the Russian prison hierarchy.

I'm not the OP. It might be cheaper in absolute values, but people struggle to pay the bills. Many are being paid like 30,000 rubles a month, and pensioners get even less than that. Also, they do their best not to pay pensions, my mom doesn't get hers, and her parents weren't getting theirs too even though they'd become pensioners in the USSR and had been receiving pensions in the USSR. By the way, this is one of the reasons why I'm not employed: you work all your life and you get nothing in return in the end.

I don´t think you can live with less than a €1.000 a month in Spain, the minimum wage is €950, you can pay bills but not go eating out with that, I am not that sure it is as cheap as the blogger says.

If you want to live like Americans who only live for money but don´t have time to spend it, ok, be my guess, what that blogger calls lazy I call it quality of life.

If a Russian wants to live in a waterless desert, where children must be circumcised, then the choice will be made between Israel and the post-Soviet Central Asian republics. Simply because there are quite a lot of Russian speakers there.

>>02579

>They're afraid of toilet sneks and ceiling spders. That's also why I avoid even thinking about Australia.

Russia has its own terrible insects. The butterfly calyptra thalictri drinks blood. Gadflies can arrange myiasis and get into your brain. Karakurt is little inferior in venom to the black widow. We also have our own giant Asian hornets. Only in Russia, Stomoxys calcitrans can tolerate anthrax in addition to Staphylococcus and tularemia. The water scorpion can swim, run and fly. Ticks carry contagious diseases, primarily tick-borne encephalitis. This disease affects the human nervous system and manifests itself in the form of muscle cramps, vomiting, blurring of consciousness. Eventually, it can lead to hallucinations, paralysis of the whole body and death.

Because since the time of the Rurikovichi, Russians have lived there. The name Little Russia seems to hint.
It was only during the Civil War of 1917 that the Polish Uniate sect, with the support of the Austrians, loudly declared itself, and the Bolsheviks pumped up this sect with resources, trying to make it their puppet. So Lenin's government recognized Ukraine as a state, and Stalin's government carried out Ukrainization, within the framework of which a holodomor of the ethnically Russian population was arranged. Also, the Russian educated population of the cities was subjected to repression and was replaced by illiterate peasants, who were easily convinced even that they were Ukrainians, Martians or elves.
During the Second World War, the Uniate sect contacted the Reich through the Austrians and helped collaborators. For example, Khrushchev was recruited through his wife to save collaborators from being shot. After the war, already in 1957, when Khrushchev became general Secretary, he released all Ukrainian and Baltic Nazi criminals and helped them become part of the government of those regions.
Since then, anti-Russian propaganda has been strengthening in the Ukrainian SSR, and after the collapse of the USSR it became the basis of the policy of the Ukrainian government.
After 2014, when the United States decided to overthrow the greedy Yanukovych (he refused to sell the country cheaply and tried to balance between Moscow and Washington), the best American specialists were already engaged in propaganda.
And all this together has led to the current military conflict. It's good that Russia is not Yugoslavia and Americans are afraid to bomb our cities with nuclear weapons.

It seem that Russia is wonderful... Ok.
Why so many Russians in Georgia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, and other countries then?
I do not see any mass migration in the opposite direction, though?
One more question: why the hell were the Russian soldiers stealing the toilet seats from the Ukrainian homes?

Oh no, there is shit ton of them. Russia is the main place if destination for all post-Soviet republics, except the Baltics. Russians are dying off, but government mashine must be fed by somebody, right ? Why it must to be russians our leadership says ?

Do any active forums exist in Russia for the paranormal/astral projection genre? Magiya.net was the forum where I used to be a member (which seems to no longer be available on the Internet). Perhaps the participation rate was so low the site owner, MasterRoma, no longer thought it was worth his time or money.

Astral.com.ru seems somewhat interesting, but it also seems to be inactive for several years (but still available for viewing).

The russian government seems to tolerate most ransomware groups / actors (Maksim Yakubets / camo lambo with BOP / thief plate, and others like him) so long as they never target CIS states, but as I understand, FAPSI/FSB/GRU know exactly who those people are, and could arrest/kill any of them at any moment.

1. If an American moved there, naturalized, and renounced American citizenship and wanted to do the same, would that be tolerated? Would FSB/FAPSI/GRU arrest the person even if they always followed no-hack-CIS rule, always volunteered to help with offensive cyber ops?

2. Also is it true your federal tax rate is only 13%? Any state or local income taxes?

3. Also, is it true that if using public wireless hotspots in Russia (like in a kafe) you need to provide your ID in order to complete the connection?

4. Is Nizhny Novgorod a nice city/town? Seems like there are reasonable apartments there for $600 USD/month which is fantastic and so much cheaper than Moscow / St Petersburg. Moscow seems especially dangerous with asshole NATO/CIA provoking Ukraine to attack inside Russia.

5. Is evasion of deep packet inspection a criminal offense in Russia?

6. In Russia, can you be compelled to give up passwords? Courts in America have ruled the police cannot do that.

7. Are your domestic "Elbrus" processors backdoored like Intel/AMD chips are? (from Intel CSME, AMD PSP)

They can try, hard to tell. Propaganda people would be certainly interested. Jaff Monson done it, doing great currently.

>2. Also is it true your federal tax rate is only 13%?

Not really. Regular russian pays more than half of his income in taxes.

>Any state or local income taxes?

Only federal.

>3. Also, is it true that if using public wireless hotspots in Russia (like in a kafe) you need to provide your ID in order to complete the connection?

No.

>4. Is Nizhny Novgorod a nice city/town?

No. It's basically a giant factory full of mongrel abd minorities of every kind.

>Seems like there are reasonable apartments there for $600 USD/month which is fantastic and so much cheaper than Moscow / St Petersburg.

Overpriced. It's a dying town. You should be paid to stay there, not the other way around.

>Moscow seems especially dangerous with asshole NATO/CIA provoking Ukraine to attack inside Russia.

Not really. Couple of apartments blown up is not that big of a deal.

>5. Is evasion of deep packet inspection a criminal offense in Russia?

I don't understand the question.

>6. In Russia, can you be compelled to give up passwords? Courts in America have ruled the police cannot do that.

Yes, in Russia if a police stops you they may request to show all you phone messengers.

Does this mean intelligence services would want the American to volunteer to help them? The American would help them gladly. Do you mean a different group? If the American would volunteer to go on TV and burn his old American passport on live TV, explaining to Russia and the world that America is a degenerate wasteland, explain to all of Russia just how horrible America is (convicted child sexual predators deliberately being introduced to children by American state and city governments, laws in places like California, Washington that say "if your son runs away and they tell the authorities he is a girl, the authorities are prohibited from telling the parents where there son is", constant propaganda being blasted in American state-controlled media [PBS, NPR, etc] full of lies slandering the Russian state but ignoring war crimes committed by Ukraine against Russia with assistance from American military, explain how Russia is the greatest country in the world, I am sure the American would gladly volunteer for such civic duty to his new home.

>Not really. Regular russian pays more than half of his income in taxes.

Can you explain more here? How does this work - is it a law saying tax rate is a certain percent of income like 55%? Is it necessary for paying police? Do you mean the >50% to include the taxes on land, on sales, on gasoline, etc? I see here (https://www.nalog.gov.ru/eng/individuals/nalog/ndfl/) that the official income tax rate is listed as just 13%.

If the ex-American was to be making for example, 70-90 million rubles per year from self-employment with computers, what would he expect to pay in taxes?

>Yes, in Russia if a police stops you they may request to show all you phone messengers.

Can the police come into your home and demand your passwords to your computer? Is this a regular occurrence if no crimes are committed against any Russian citizens, businesses, government agencies, or any CIS citizens, businesses, or government agencies?

Is it true that to purchase property to own, it is prohibitively expensive, and renting is so much cheaper?

I understand that during the Soviet era, many were provided with apartments as a place to live by the state, did those become private property owned by the occupants?

> >5. Is evasion of deep packet inspection a criminal offense in Russia?

>I don't understand the question.

In Russia, I understand that Roskomnadzor and others perform inspection of internet packets (also, SORM black boxes installed in internet exchange buildings by FSB), and there is a national firewall not terribly dissimilar from China's. Is it a criminal offense to circumvent the firewalls or to hide from the inspection, using technical means?

Also, will police tolerate mischief in cars by wealthy persons? Like driving 300-350 kmh late at night on a highway with no traffic in a modified Lamborghini, Nissan GT-R, AMG GT, etc? Does having money enable you to avoid some consequences (with a good lawyer? with payments directly the police? donations to police agency before the traffic offense?)

I understand Bitcoin is a legal gray area. If an American (needing to ensure his ability to get US dollars out of America and into Russia) converted his savings to Bitcoin to bring into Russia and naturalize, and renounce his American citizenship, would he be permitted to exchange the Bitcoin back to Rubles? Is there a more appropriate way to do this, excluding the prospect of bringing a briefcase full of cash?

Not at the moment. Literally everyone use VPN here, even propagandists. But the government can make it a criminal offense at any time or even completely cut Russia off the internet using Sovereign Internet Law.

>Can the police come into your home and demand your passwords to your computer?

Maybe, if you pay bribe to the cop who stopped you. Сan't say for sure, I don't own a car.

Everything is same here, but from the other side. All media that aren't state-controlled are also illegal or marked as "foreign agents". You guys at least have FOX or something lol.
