i bough pringels once, didnt like the taste. i buy those local cheaper ones, they taste better. clarkies got lots of tasty snacks.

i think its because its crunchy. people like crunchy things, not only the taste.

yeah i prefer regular potato as snack, i peel it off, stabb it couple times put in microwave for 5,2 minutes then eat it with salt. i am a simple men, happy with simple stuff

people eat to much crap this days, you gotta stick to simple easy to digest foods like oatmeal, potatos, rice, buckwheat, eggs, cheese, onions, apple, milk, sausage. tomato.

I follow exactly the same philosophy, largely because I love to cook. The products listed above can be used to make over 150 dishes with a variety of flavors and emotional coloring.
The reason I left the previous post is largely due to my dislike of the way the younger generation in Russia worship this European/American pop crap, as Russia produces similar, and in my opinion, even better products in many respects. Yakshino tastes the same as Nutella and costs 3 times cheaper, the taste of carbonated rosehip with currants or cherry kvass can't be replaced by any Pepsi-Cola, etc. etc. for me. It's literally an Apple(Overhype) phenomenon. Russians can do great things, but Russians are too late to the "world" because of a series of upheavals in their history, so nobody needs their products in the world. Have you heard anything about Baltimore ketchup in Germany? I don't think so. But I'll tell you, it's very good, and it has as big a range as Heinz. And the reason you haven't heard is that Baltimore is not """"overhyped"""", even despite creative advertising with famous people in Europe.

For the large tube, which is the only size (like 35cm long, no idea what the mass is), I think they're like $5 at my local store. No off-brand tube, but the bags of potato snacks will vary from like $3-$7, including the off brand ones. I have never bought them from there so I don't know exactly. I will check if I remember next time I go to the store.

How much cheaper are the "off-brand" potatoes in Russia? Probably isn't useful comparing things like pringles between countries because lots of places get screwed by the "premium goyslop" prices (like mcdonalds burgers). I think it would be better to compare the cheapest potato chips at your store. For example, at my local store I'm pretty sure that is the only brand of tube potato snacks, and the bag snacks aren't much cheaper. The "off-brand" ones can actually be more expensive in America, which is strange.

This is pretty much true for every country that isn't a literal undeveloped shithole. "American" or whatever products are always overpriced and mediocre, and the American brand products are even lower quality if you buy them here. Even "imported" foods here are usually specially made for the American domestic market and are lower quality.
In my opinion, the highest quality Western brand snack foods are bought in places like Thailand, Russia, Japan, etc. and the local alternatives are usually even better than those. Western Europe is a step above America, but only because people can easily compare those goods with stuff they can buy in Eastern Europe, so they can't make the food too shitty.

>$5 for Pringles

>$7 for the most expensive chips

Dear god... I understand that pay is higher over there and the cost of living is more in accordance with the prosperity but that is a lot of money for slop...
We pay about $2 for Pringles and these are the most expensive chips... A big bag of lays or Simba (local) chips of 200g costs R23.

BUT if you are really on a budget, and you are willing to get really cheap stuff that was made in someone's garage you can get around 200g of corn based chips for less than R15

Fun fact: dvachers mostly are terrible at cooking, and they don’t have enough money for deliveries and restaraunts, so the main topic related to food for them is energetic drinks and chips from the supermarket. That a miserable human beings.
