Such stupid laws, all of them. Think about it, they lowered they age to vote but raised the age to drink. You can decide the country's future but you cannot decide if you want a beer or a cigarette.
Technically there is a loophole with smoking where a lot of under 18s will pick sage or mint and then find used cigarettes, cut them dump out the contents and replaced it would herb ground up, then roll the contents back up and either clasp tightly or lick for adhesion. Sage is seen as a substitute for tobacco and mint is a substitute for menthol. I have not tried it and I am smoking age anyway, so there is no need. The law states smoking tobacco and related products.
