I work under contract for experience. Eventually I will obtain a government job, but I am dating a foreigner from BRICS member state, so that could jeopardize my application for to be cleared for classified projects. Otherwise it is nice, I get quality food daily and spend very little money to have it, I can sustain my hobbies too.

It used to be nice cuz we had the best of both worlds, access to nice western stuff like free EU travel, but eastern enough to not have to deal with lgbtxyz and all that woke bs. Right now, its the worst of both worlds - eastern europe level salaries, EU level prices and taxes (raised recently). Here there is complete stagnation a constant feeling of pressure in everybody.
It's not nearly as bad as the Balkans in the 90s were, it just feels very bad.
Hopefully I'll be out by this time next year.
