Felt so ashamed...
Stabbed my belly with a katana
- A Japanese samurai's death poem
I trust you, but prove to me that you're a true samurai and not some stinking gaijin.
>It's not anime thougheverbeit

Somehow Russians seem like a completely different species apart from the human race (in a good way)
Generally speaking, leaving politics aside, in Japan, you guys are seen as wild and reckless, but with a gentle heart and somehow kind people... I think
Sorry if this offended you but Russian culture can be a little hard to get into, so most people aren't very familiar with it
The intelligentsia is interested in literature, ballet, classical music, language, and communism hobbyist...
I love Russian literature desu
And can I too ask you what aspects of modern our culture are popular in Russia?
>Somehow Russians seem like a completely different species apart from the human race (in a good way)
In reality, every nation feels unique. In my mind, all nations are colored in shades that can't really be put into words.
>Generally speaking, leaving politics aside, in Japan, you guys are seen as wild and reckless, but with a gentle heart and somehow kind people...
I think that's a "stereotype based on a few videos". Russians are actually a pretty inert, calm people who generally just go with the flow. There are over 196 indigenous ethnic groups living in Russia, with ethnic Russians making up about 70-80% of the total population. All these groups are different, but for historical reasons, many are quite close to Russians in terms of behavioral patterns.
>Sorry if this offended you but Russian culture can be a little hard to get into, so most people aren't very familiar with it
No, not offended at all. The Japanese cultural barrier is very hard to break through from the outside, and it's tough to make your own culture prominent in Japan because Japanese culture is traditionally very strong and self-sufficient.
>The intelligentsia is interested in literature, ballet, classical music, language, and communism hobbyist...
Dangerous ideas. Especially ballet. You could sprain an ankle, and that takes ages to heal.
>I love Russian literature desu
Awesome. I have absolutely no time for reading right now.
Btw, in Russian internet culture, there's an old meme of adding "~desu" to the end of any sentence to mimic anime characters or Japanese speech. Real Japanese people don't actually do this in conversation - it's purely an online marker of "otaku culture". You almost fooled me, gem played.
>And can I too ask you what aspects of modern our culture are popular in Russia?
The trend towards "Russianness" and folklore in fashion, which is connected to the conflict with the West. It's visible in everything: music, TV shows, tech, electronics, and science. For a long time, Russia was a sort of part of the West, and Western things penetrated all spheres of society, but now they are gone.

I truly love and respect Japan for your attitude toward life; I am delighted by your anime—you are experts on human nature, and especially the nature of women.
