commie blocks seems to be very old design, but they will be the future but with different concept a combination with vertical farming, solar panels.
simply because
+central heating
+safes space, people will live on tiny space cuz of urbanization and people moving to city for work.
+communication
+less time to travel.
+new type of farming and bio-cell production of meat in a farm

Well... it sucks. Especially, when we are talking about quality of buildings from 1980s. Newer are 'not-so-bad', but I would consider them only as an necessity. They have some advantages, but I rather prefer classic houses, in a style of Polish nobles especially ( https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/ranczo/images/0/0d/Dworek1.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20090307112212 , modern project: https://assets.archon.pl/images/products/mbd62280a6d16a/widok-1-projekt-dom-w-gaurach-5__289.jpg)

but its not stallinist architectural style. commiblocks appered after his death in 1955 with resolutuon of "Elimination of excesses in designing and construction".
>>28586
Yes, exactly.
This resolution never should had happened.
Instead gulag laborers should had been employed to build more of this.

maybe some of them look beautiful outside. but in fact all regular people lived in small spaces with few families.
new policy given people separate apartaments to million of families all over the soviet union. finally they got THEIR OWN PERSONAL SPACE.
this number of buildings should be too expensive in stalin's style with all this decorative stuff.
commiblocks dont look pretty. but in the past they was steps to crysis of communism ideology.
DON'T JUDJE THEM TOO HARD DEAR THREAD

mostly because centralheating and ww2(lots of destruction) people needed houses fast, their is a reason yankees build houses from plywood(lots of hurricanes and floods.

Mordor style
in Russia every second town looks like a depressing shithole, but it's easy to addict to this view. These houses are indeed the future of architecture, but not so-called khrushchevkas

I spent a week in Krasnodar at the beginning of this year. I stayed in a commieblock, and it was actually quote comfortable. You get the feeling of being in an actual community there, with people around almost all the time, and shopping centers within easy walking distance. In the US things are a lot more isolated.

I'm speaking terms of general suburban/semirural white American life. We generally have cars so distances are far larger. In the commieblock system you are actually forced into social interaction, and as someone who doesn't talk to people outside of work and family, I appreciate it.

It's really awful though, since most of the people around you will be piss poor bydlo, alcos, druggies, psychos and criminals. Everyone who has the money prefers to live in a house or at least a new elite capiblock flat.

They're ugly but not so bad.
That is, when churkas aren't doing "construction" in the flat they own above yours, and they repeatedly burst water pipes.

If I wasn't constantly bothered by jewish states of america, I would love to get lost in one of these cities.
I mean each of appartnments has it own history, which I would explore with genuine interest.
There is something secret about this blocks, I would say even something melancholy.
