I think that I don't understand it, at all.
But then it's not about the mascot, it's about my understanding of that mascot.
Thus I think absolutely nothing of it.
Oh, now I see, it's some tanuki in the health-mask. Okay, cool.
I also think they try to ridicule the masks, so we don't close our faces, but it could be my regular mild paranoia, all this world could be some chaotic unconnected events drawing some truly unpredicted patterns. The world is wild and wonderful.
