the problem with Poland politics is that there's no point for their political ruling class, if they're friendly with Russians

and since civilians are not pro catholic ISIS any more, there's basically no difference between a Russian and a Pole

if anything, we would hate on pope together for pulling the 2nd Vatican congress and shitting all over everything and anything that was good in the Catholicism

bringing Poles closer to Christianity would force papists to review their sinful degenerate ways

but again, since that would just make their political class obsolete, this won't happen in the near future

I like polish creativity, it already shows that it's not some useless country - look at how many games they made, they deserve to exist and be their own land. Wish it wouldn't come to another annual Poland demolition, but i don't get my hopes high, polish government is wildly anti-russian, acting like a spearhead for totalitarian pieces of shit known as EU.

I also don't remember any teacher, friend or a family member ever talking about Poland in a positive way. With ukranians we had friends, relatives and a history of productive cooperation, our people were often calling them brothers, but with polish we barely had anything going on AND it seems equally as russophobic as Ukraine, if not more.

We are not good friends. No country had been a bigger piece of shit towards Poland. Poland is among countries with biggest percentage of population with negative view on russia. One of my biggest joys of everyday life is observing how russian statehood circles the drain, how it’s being humiliated on battlefield by Ukrainians. By now it’s obvious the decay will lead to total failure and years long crisis or even an end to russia as a political entity. Poland had been here before russia existed and will be after. That's a bit of historical misrepresentation. Russia/USSR hardly was made of asians to any memeworthy "asian hordes" extents even during Mongol invasions, which while did set back development by a few centuries, etc, were also overblown in terms of specific kinds of cultural damage, in public eyes of Europe, in no small part due to their elites needing a convenient target to point their plebs towards.

Poland was always fine as a state, don't be so scornful. Their only flaws are selling out to Christendom forma de Catolica, selling out their blood rooted ethnic pride for being a part of some Europe circa EU (lol) and being up their own ass in terms of Пан- mentality on occasions, - though in the latter case one can say that participating in slave trade isn't nationally exclusive, - which is both a historical truth and very flimsy notion.
Russia, for all its numerous sins (abundance of which is par course for any imperfect polity, especially of such size, and after so many historical mutations and changes in leadership), didn't look down on other Slavic sub-ethnicities all that much.
Polish historical leadership meanwhile contributed aplenty to halt creation of any true pure pan-Slavic state that would've encompassed all the tribes.
That's not to say that they very the only ones, or that there was ever any attempt at constructing such, other than Russia, - which was Christendom too (purely by beating other religious and non-religious entities, naturally), monarchy turned empire, with Russians as primary nation-building ethnicity, with all the prices, but Christendom all the same, - but Poles riding their hungers didn't help.
Not that they weren't in their right to pursue their own ambitions, mind you. But hindsight is 20/20, and frankly some things run deeper than social contracts. Excuses for contemporary moralities of most eras don't hold up under serious scrutiny.

And here I've basically forgotten what point I was making, lol

Any historian worth their salt will at bare minimum raise their eyebrows at such historical illiteracy and such scornful "romanticism".
There never was any true true torch passing between the two polities beyond more pragmatic practices and damage. Mongols of those times were nomads, and some people in current Mongolia still live such comfy, peaceful life. Their interests are as varied as any human's, but their mentality is different.
Imperial tendencies of Russia are a natural product of Slavic tribal disposition, i.e. military democracies that eventually became superceded by feodalism with complex details. This tendency is one that Poles in fact share, and to which Poland owed its past land acquisitions, which makes such disdain from you and Baltics et al hypocritical.

>damage? tataromongols created your civilization and race hence muscovite propensity for oriental despotism, reason your historical architecture is so distinct from any european architecture, unique centralization of the state etc.

Patently incorrect on all cases.
What would become "Rus" predates both the Duchy of Moscow, Kiev and Christianization of Rus. Moscow was simply participating in infighting between different knyaz holdings and cities of its time.
Mongol invasion happening at most inopportune times and Moscow being sufficiently far away certainly helped, but it wasn't improbable for any other city to win, before or after.
Regardless, the Rus state was already in the works by that time.

What you call "oriental despotism" isn't any more effectively different from literally any other Christianity based monarchical rule anywhere in Europe, complete with occasional ruler mistakes, economical and bloodshed excesses, the latter of which ironically were in lesser quantity than in Europe proper.
Feodalism did take harder toll on Russian peasantry and social development in comparison to European societies (sort of, the West rarely if ever was bereft of social stratification), but its negative effects were compensated by different moral principles in rulership, even if all of the noble intentions blew up and were tossed out by commies, only to be picked up.
Europe, in comparison, owes its social shift and current era of eroding peace and prosperity to bankers, bourgeoisie and corporations, whose mass pillaging enterprises, - that are also no more different than any other economically interested conquest in human history, in spirit of their actions, - grew into the very transnational corporations that wear all these nations like skinsuits.

Russian architecture is different for the same reason any architecture is different.
It is all about resources and environmental conditions. Wood is more readily available, is abundant, and lends itself to certain kinds of artistic woodcutting. Add Christianity, mix it with various ornamentation, including pre-Christian ones, and you get the end result.

All European architecture is distinct from one another. You simply don't pay attention to its complexity, and look no farther than specific areas and times, not considering intents, purposes and, where applicable, payrollers. Heavy stone buildings are for instance meant to store heat better in winter. Little Ice Age did impact architecture.
As European climate is becoming hotter, this is becoming a serious problem, as recent events in France, with ~1k casualties, have shown.
And this is one period of somewhat "homogenized" design, mind you. Had any other European faction were to make different history, architecture would follow. I doubt Charlemagne's adventures left everyone happy. You sure don't see Grand Frisian architecture anywhere, do you, hmmm? And that's just one man.

>yeah because we don't want to be a part of your horde. never have, never will.

That's the joke, boy. All of those narratives are made to keep plebs and elites in line.
You don't have any proper agency neither in terms of mono-slavicism, nor in terms modern Poland as a truly sovereign nation.
Banal proclamations of adversarial nature based on dumbest and crudest ideological reasons possible, some of which are purely made up outright solely to maintain us vs them pressure, - sovereignty do not make.
All of Europe is ruled by pure sellouts. Might have been so for awhile, if late Oswald Mosley's speech is to be considered.
<

Back in the past (and now too) it was Vatican that was your far distant master, now it's technocratic corporations, big money, and their executives arms.
I honestly suggest to you to:
Rethink this simple national tribalism of yours, - so as to not look like an easily exploitable fool.
Study history, - because reality is exceedingly complex.
And learn a very simple thing.
Nations and ethnic groups are nothing more than groups of people running on abstract agreements.
Any claims of allegiance or tribal mentalities only have value when they are actual, rather than obfuscated behind a mass of nondescript people with covetous hungers for resources that are abstracted behind that deliberate, nation-poisoning-dishonesty making nondescription AND whom are at once ruled by a committee of even more nondescript profit seekers - and still no claim or allegiance gives them any prerogative over any other take or disposition of any kind, because you're just a bunch of people, looking to live. Any pretenses ARE and WILL BE subject to scrutiny.

At bare minimum it'll help you survive.

Social cohesion is not a concept the Mongols have invented, and problems like these are faced by literally every polity.
There are numerous approaches at maintaining any kind and style of cohesion. Given that the Horde collapsed, and Russia didn't, the strategies clearly were different at least in places.

It's about as much of a rump state as you're a successor of your ancestors, i.e. you happen to exist and happen to keeping to exist.
Moscow territory had people of one or another kind living there since the bronze age. Moscow as a polity known as it is, grew as any normal Rus' city given its environment, times and the baggage of inter-knyazdom succession wars and the invasion. Moscow was burned before Mongol raids, yet it was rebuilt. "Rump states" typically lack this much integrity to do so.

>semi-nomands with a city complex at karakorum

Castles hardly were invented purely against Asians, and they sure weren't all made in one day and in the same year by the same people, that's nonsense. Europe faced worse from Arabs.

>what would become rus has no relation to what would become muscovy

Other than coming from the same stock, being made by the same people, sharing the same faiths, same social issues, same motivations, same methods, etc.

>it's completely two different civilizations on two different rivers inhabited by completely different people. in volga basin it was volga finns in the north and assorted turkics in the south with ancestors of russians emerging as they crossbred.

This view on ethnic breeding isn't supported by reality, and ethnicities don't melt like water.
Incidental existence of other non-Slavics anywhere on Earth, just like of any other human, has no bearing on the fact of Slavic sub-organization - tribes being a part of larger Slavic organization - i.e. total Slavic 'ethnogenesis process' happening since before Venedi.
There were finns out there, and turks, and what have you - and there were slavs also, because that's how such big groups of self-organizing people work.
Before USSR modern economy melting pot incurred more imperial prices, Moscow was Slavic by and large. But there was no prevalent mass of mythical finno-turks mongrels of perfectly even breed back then, and there isn't now, because such things are not sustainable, neither biologically, nor geographically, in any configuration of Russia of old.

>these people got conquered by rus in late 900s and remained a part of it until early 1200s

Rus is ethnically and culturally Slavic. It's a theological schism, not biologically cultural.

>which is your whole relation to the slavic thing. urbanization of moscow proper all done by mongols.

It already was a city before the Mongols came.
And there were other Slavic cities older than it, whose culture it, obviously, shares, because that's how these processes work. Initial seed conditions were already set well before.

>the term is as old as history itself, first observed during greko-persian wars

And it is as meaningless as telling an ancient Greek or Persian the term "jingoism".
Incorrectly ripping tiniest historical minutiae out of their historical context, - least of all from people with interest and wilful dishonesty where it may be, as those ancients, all the while ignoring their personalities, - and presumably being some democracy et al fetishist (presumably due to a hypocritical anti-autocratic disposition, by particular historical choice) without even understanding what it entails no less, - is as pointless (unless done with narrative in mind) as it is to use them for everything. Any polity in Middle East is not Middle East is not China is not Asia is not Eurasia is not northest Eurasia is not...etc.
Despotism may vary in its quality, may be present or absent outright, and is not an Asian invention.
Pejorative despots, i.e. unjust, cruel rulers, - either don't make it, or create lasting institutional problems that aren't conductive to a given polity's survival, humane life and mental well-being.
Cruel despotism and Christianity based monarchies are mutually exclusive in spirit, and incur all the issues in practice when sufficiently bad rulers had power. Russia, as far as its history went, had little to no unjust despotism that was any worse than its peers in Europe. It had incompetences on occasion, instead.

Beyond that, you'd have to specify the actual meaning of "oriental despotism" you've chosen to use. This meme term is inadequate.

>but it is: european monarchies were decentralized with power delegated to gentry - muscovy was a centralized rule with tax collectors instead as the whole political system was copied straight from mongols

When a king commands you to act, you better act. A monarch without power is not a monarch.
A system where delegation does not fulfill its appointed responsibilities shall not be able to function.
Whether a mass of nation-generating subjects and their nobility follow a font of honour because the mediocrity or outsider-ness of the kingly line, whether appointed or self-made (e.g. like Rjurik, yes) serves as a universally satisfactory and fair solution to disputes, or because the kingly line subordinated others by force does not mean responsibilities and obligations are absent. That is punishable. Europe and Asia proper both had all sorts of inhumane responses to insubordination.
Russia too, but in lesser quality, 'mostly'.

Much like the nature of power does not change irrespective of the configuration, no amount of decentralization in this system changes the way actual mechanic works. And it works exactly the same. Any sufficiently big mundane polity requires delegation to function, but a decentralized polity with a monarch is -monarchy-. And if it isn't, then it is likely ruled by virtual despots of other sorts, because that's how power works.

But the gentry', you say?
It is no more different than boyars or any other nobility. Which Russia, had too, before and during monarchic rule, hello there!
Being a court unto yourself or being a part of another's court is effectively the same thing.

>other than iberia and peleoponese wood used to be abundant across all europe

Oh but it is. Its eventual standardization circa 1900~ and onwards doesn't mean that it is lacking in identity whether in relation to others, or its own history. You simply take Europe for granted, being a part of it, and so you perceive this little slice of history-in-the-making as mundane like a normal human, rather than history spanning a lot, and future.

Yeah, it's non-existent, and there never was any proper push for that in Slavics, but eh. But the sentiment has existed for a very long time in some, in Russia and not.

What can I say? I do hope you'll never meet a geneticist in your life. That said it's not up to anyone's consideration what Russians are and are not.
Slavics still make up most of Russian population. It's not a wholly conventional ethnicity due to sheer size alone, nor is the term "Russian" fully coterminous with Slavics post-USSR, but Russian Slavs and Russian non-Slavs are very much distinct. Big nation, complex system, what do you know.
