Here is like in Russia. However there are some "copyright trolls" who send you letters like "PAY $1000 FINE OR WE WILL GO TO COURT", but they can nothing.
Althorough if you wold like to browse regional torrent sites there would be problem, because major of them have been closed in past few years.

Well, usually torrenting goes without consequences here, but there are certain law firms which specialize in fisting pirates in mass law suits. Personally know a couple of guys who got fucked for pirating new games. But they obviously acted like retards and got caught by someone who has basic knowledge in this whole topic. I doubt that you will get caught if you protect your ass.
I am with the other guy though and think that torrenting is basically pointless nowadays, considering there are a ton of file hosters which offer acceptable speeds and are big enough to not get scared of some shitty law firm.
