Neither. unless you're going to emigrate to Israel, then Hebrew
If you're a kike, start with Yiddish. At least it reminds Dutch.

I know I am weird. But it doesn't make me irrational.
I'd learn Persian because:
a) Ancient culture more great than arabs will ever be
b) Tadjikistan speaks it
c) It's Indo-European

Salaries in Tajikistan converted to rubles are much lower than in Russia. So, poor people from there go to Russia to earn money. They are not protected with the labor code and work a lot for small money, but it's more than what they could earn back home, and they have enough spare money to send to their families. Movers, janitors, builders are not respected jobs, what creates prejudice towards Tajiks.

A lot of people are ignorant about the world surrounding them. My classmate from Kazakhstan once asked me not to think his family lived in a yurt back in Kazakhstan. He decided it was necessary to explain me there are cities with houses in Kazakhstan as if I could assume else. (I guess somebody had said something about yurts to him before.) It's the same with Tajikistan, there are big cities, and life in Dushanbe is pretty much the same as in Moscow I think, and not everyone there is a janitor or a mover obviously, but some people don't give much thought to it, and it results in xenophobia.

There is a popular Soviet saying: all jobs are needed and all jobs are important. I've never lived in the Soviet Union, but I guess people had more respect for each other back then.

Sorry to disappoint you, but in the USSR all jobs were similar amount of money approved by the state. So, a job would be considered good if it was less dirty and provide access to illegal benefits. Working at the store was a good job cause you could illegally sell rare products for extra money. However, it was also risky, once caught a store worker faced corporal punishment.
